Americus, Georgia

Americus is our hometown and home to several prominent establishments, such as the international headquarters of Habitat for Humanity, Georgia Southwestern State University, the Windsor Hotel, and The Fuller Center for Housing. It also hosts The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers, Cafe Campesino,The Americus Sumter County Movement Remembered Committee and Bean South along with numerous other cool businesses and organizations. Our city boasts a fascinating history, with a significant business and residential historic district, and an advantageous location near the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Plains, Andersonville National Historic Site, Koinonia Farm, and (coming soon) The Americus Civil Rights and Cultural Center.
